SMS Opt-In & Messaging Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Overview

flaggedfor.me is a private company-news tracking tool. Authenticated account holders may opt in to receive SMS notifications about material news events (high- or critical-severity) affecting companies in their tracked portfolio.

How you opt in

An account holder opts in by entering their own phone number in the "SMS Alerts" section of the Admin page after logging in. Only phone numbers that an account holder enters for themselves will receive messages. No one is enrolled without taking that direct action inside their own account.

What messages you will receive

At most one SMS per data-fetch run, and only when at least one new high- or critical-severity news event has been detected for a tracked company. Each message summarizes the newest events (ticker and headline) and ends with "visit site for more".

Example message: [CRIT] MTB: Breaks covenant on large commercial loan portfolio | [HIGH] PNC: CFO resigns visit site for more

Frequency

Expected volume is low — typically fewer than 10 messages per month and often zero. Messages are sent only when events occur.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message to immediately stop all SMS notifications. You can also remove your phone number from the Admin page in the app, which stops future messages.

Help

Reply HELP to any message for contact information, or email the account owner directly.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. flaggedfor.me does not charge for SMS notifications.

Privacy

Phone numbers are stored only in the application's private database and are never shared, sold, or used for marketing. See the Privacy Policy for details.
